Emery Lovett
Mississippi born, Emery Lovett started her singing career in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was the Little Zion Baptist church where Emery experienced her first taste of the entertainment field when she performed her first solo at the age of four, 'LORD Don't Move my Mountain'. At the age of twelve Emery formed the Junior choir and played piano. A high school graduate of Shortridge High School of Performing Arts, Emery, fine tuned her talents and ignited her professional career when she won the
Miss Black Expo Pageant. Emery moved to Memphis and started performing around town winning talent shows and sitting in with local enetertainers. Such as Al Green and Shirley Brown.
Emery met Big Babe Martin of the Chump Change Blues Band during her Arrny tour at Fort Leonard Wood, MO . Shortly after their acquaintance, Emery started performing with The Chump Change Blues Band.
After her Army tour, EMERY moved back to Memphis and started performing with Ruby Wilson, The Queen of Beal Street at the BB King Night Club. Home is where the heart is. Emery followed her heart and moved back to Missouri and continue her love passion for music.
Emery’s soulful vocals have been compared to such artist as Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and Shirley Brown
